Fiordicampo Pignoletto Doc Frizzante 2018

100.00

Fresh and vivid from harvesting to tasting Fiordicampo infuses pure joy to all five senses to which it offers its extraordinary authenticity. The hints of Wisteria and Jasmine, magnificently enhanced by exquisite effervescence, combine elegantly with the scents of yellow fruit and citrus with hints of ginger and white pepper, giving it a lively unique bouquet. To be served chilled, Fiordicampo, is ideal as an aperitif, but combines beautifully with fish based and fried opening dishes.

Vinification

For a brand, so strongly identified for celebrating traditional Romagnola winemaking it is impossible to ignore the sparkling form of Pignoletto, most typical of this region.

But not only does Fiordicampo pay homage itself to the region- the Valle Del Santerno – and to its oenological culture, but rather it represents a true act of reverence that Tenute d’Italia wants to assign to its own history and its protagonists.

It was in 2016 when, in order to implement the production line, Morini SRL decided to add an important element to its structure, inaugurating its agricultural division, introducing the possibility of direct control of the vineyards and of the wineries. The birth of Società Agricola Tenute d’Italia has proven to be a real turning point in our story, opening new horizons, particularly in terms of technology and innovation. The Tenute d’Italia winery, situated just outside the centre of Imola, has in fact become the place where, the already historical collaboration between Morini SRL and the AEB Group – a leader in the oenological sector, has been able to inaugurate a new and an even more profitable stage. Both the harvesting and the specific processing steps become opportunities for experimenting with innovative practices and technologies, making the wines of Tenute d’Italia real jewels of oenological expertise.

None of this new phase of growth would have been possible if the Morini Group had not been able to rely on the solid foundation provided by the Azienda Agricola Castellari, the truly historically productive reality of this territory, that supplied the ideal rootstock for the Tenute d’Italia project.

Almost twenty years of collaboration, – which has resulted in a true and real friendship – has allowed Guido Garelli, consultant oenologist of Morini SRL, and Franco Battilani, owner of the Azienda Castellari, to visualize – and subsequently achieve – a new chapter in the life of this winery, thus enabling us to look to the future thanks to the new commercial prospects for which they provide their services. Making some small changes in applying and modifying the structure, involving mainly increasing the capacity of the winery and streamlining the processing -it has therefore been possible to inject new life into this location, without distorting or removing any of the original atmosphere thus strengthening the link between tradition and innovation from which our work draws inspiration far beyond rhetoric.

Fiordicampo can well be considered as a symbol, the seal of this constant and advantageous tie, which recaptures the historically most noble product of Castellari production – the Sparkling Pignoletto, “Fiore di Campo” – and to offer it to the wide international market, with some modifications to the method of packaging but leaving untouched the methodology, the perfumes and aromas which over the years have kept this label as one of the most recognized and admired in the region.
